They received water every second day from an oscillating sprinkler and eventually just barely rooted into the compost. I fertilized once with an organic general purpose mix, but other than that did nothing until I took them out of the vegetable garden a couple weeks ago when they started flowering (in early September). The smallest pot and plant flowered first and has the most blossoms (which makes sense, as the plant is said to flower better when pot- bound). I'm looking forward to seeing if I get any fruit, but the largest plant is only a foot high at this point, so I may need to limit the set. Would you recommend this product to a friend? Maturity. What are the pros? Grew as expected. What are the cons? They set fruit about five months after planting. They are currently indoors in less than adequate light, but still doing alright. Four out of five are doing well, they produce these really cute little pomegranates and they have pretty orangish flowers. I am anxious to move them outside in the coming summer to see how they do. I think that distinction is more artificial then in reality. Very pretty little bush. What are the cons? Very pretty and ornamental. Nice little conversation piece. Unfortunately, I can't grow one outside in Massachusetts (too cold) so I may get one to grow indoors if I thought my cats would leave it alone!! I thought it would die the first year but I put it into a big planter and brought it in the garage.. I drug it back out into the sun and wow..
